About the Project

What is “Random Dance”?

Random dance is a genre of dance where a DJ plays various songs at random for just tens of seconds each, and people who know the choreography step forward to dance.

It mainly uses the chorus of K-POP songs, but in recent years across Asia it has also come to include J-POP and Vocaloid tracks.

A great thing about random dance is that you can join just by learning the chorus, so the barrier to entry is low. It is also not a contest of skill, so it becomes a place for people who love the same song to meet — a project that can get exciting even among people meeting for the first time!

With music playing continuously and all kinds of kemono dancing, it is enjoyable even just to watch. That side is one of the biggest charms of this project.

Random dance has been heating up in Japan in recent years — let’s enjoy it together!

FURIZM — Activities

FURIZM is a group of kemono fans based in Aichi who want to enjoy dance.

The group started after members saw a stage at an overseas convention and thought, “We want to stand on a stage like that too.” Weekly practice is the foundation; they also film dance covers and perform on event stages.

Members work across K-POP, J-POP, Western music, freestyle, yosakoi, parapara, and more — teaching each other and having fun along the way!

For this Kemono-Box:Яe, four K-POP-loving members are planning something everyone can enjoy!

If you love dance, please come dance and have fun with us♪
